How to play The Wrong Order
The Wrong Order is easy to start and surprisingly deep once things go sideways. Here is the full loop, from placing an order to winning a dispute. You do not need an account to play, though signing in lets you keep your wins and suggest new dishes.
1. Set your location
Tap the location bar at the top and search for any city, drop a pin on the map, or use your current location. The menus you see are generated from that spot — order in Seoul and you will get Korean food; order in Lagos and you will get Nigerian food; order from the middle of the ocean and you will get an offshore-rig canteen. Pick your exact delivery point and the whole game — restaurants, map, and rider — centres on it.
2. Browse and order
Scroll the feed of restaurants, open one, and add dishes to your cart. Each restaurant has a full menu with prices in in-game tokens, ratings, and delivery estimates. You can order from more than one place at once — each becomes its own delivery. When you are ready, review the bill and place the order.
3. Track your delivery
Watch the rider move across a live map toward your pin, with an estimated arrival time that shrinks as they get closer. While you wait, you can play quick mini-games — a runner, a slicing game, a stacking game, a food-quiz, and a crossword — to pass the time and earn a few bonus tokens.
4. Receive and inspect
When the order arrives, open the bag and inspect it. Sometimes everything is perfect. Often it is not: the food is late, it is spilled or damaged, an item is missing, or it is the wrong order entirely. Inspecting carefully is how you gather the evidence you will need if you decide to complain.
5. Open a dispute (the heart of the game)
If something is wrong, start a dispute. You will chat with a fictional Support agent who may apologise, deflect, offer a small coupon, or deny there is a problem at all. You choose how to respond — accept their offer, push back with the facts, or provide proof. This is where the game rewards persistence and a good argument.
6. Escalate to the Board
Not satisfied with Support? You decide — nothing is forced. You can escalate to an independent Board that weighs the evidence neutrally and issues a verdict. A strong, well-evidenced case can overturn a Support denial and win you a full refund plus a place on your record.
Tokens, wins, and suggesting dishes
Winning disputes and mini-games earns in-game tokens. These have no cash value — they are just your score. If you sign in, your wins are saved, and you can suggest a real dish we are missing; if it checks out, a human reviewer adds it and you get a notification to order it. Everything is fictional and free to play.
